Call for Nominations
The Nominations Committee calls for nominations for President-Elect and Distinguished Fellowships for the year 2010. Formal nominations should be submitted to
aares@anu.edu.au by June 30, 2009. Nominations for President-Elect should be dated and signed by the nominator, a seconder, and the candidate.
Distinguished Fellowships are awarded to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to agricultural and resource economics and/or the activities of AARES. Past winners of this prestigious award are shown
here. Nominations should include a brief biography.

Call for Papers
The Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society (AARES) is pleased to provide information on a pre-conference workshop on wine economics to be held in Adelaide, 7-9 February 2010, just prior to the AARES Annual Conference (8-10 February 2010).
The
workshop flyer calls for submissions of abstracts, with a closing date of July 6, 2009. Send a 1-page abstract to
kym.anderson@adelaide.edu.au by 6 July 2009. The Workshop registration fee for one author of each accepted paper will be covered by the organisers, and a selection of the best/most appropriate papers will be considered for inclusion in a special issue of a journal or edited volume.
